Saraf Ghair Sehei (Reckless Renovation).

In this theater production, the troupe focuses on a critical struggle Yemeni elite community (politicians, journalists, activists..etc.) were facing upon the Arab Spring. Through dramatic conflict within family members divided upon one another into “anti-regime” rebels and regime supporters “remnants”. The play lead to a situation where the family find themselves stuck inside a restored bathroom, missing important appointments, the incident uncover their uglyside and shows how their relationship as a family is far fragile in comparison to the clash.

The production premiered in October 2014 in Aden. The troupe was in preparation to open the production in Sana’a and Taiz but the war erupted. Back in Aden, the stage decoration were entirely destroyed offering no change for the play to continue being performed.
