The production of ‘On the Edge’ is a sequel of Khaleej Aden troupe’s 2010 production; Kart Ahmar (Red Card). On the Edge comes to the theater stage through presenting new matters reflecting the current social and political clashes in Aden city today.
The production will premier in August 2019 on the stage of 1000 nights in Aden city. This is the first time Khaleej Aden troupe will stage their production in a new space other than Hurricane theater; the space that formally hosted every past production of the troupe’s in Aden.
In this theater production, 7 different satirical scenes will come to life on the stage in which each scene present a social issue implicating the ongoing times of unrest inside Yemen. 8 original folklore songs are to be presented within scenes as an attempt to further promote musical theater to local Yemeni audience.
